The Baptist Chapel in Diseworth was built in 1752, and served the village community until November 2000, when damage caused by the flooded brook finally forced its closure. Now, thanks to a major grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund,  the Diseworth Heritage Trust has restored it as a Heritage Centre which will become a focal point for a wide range of events and activities for Diseworth, Long Whatton and the surrounding area.

This site provides information on the history of the Chapel itself, historical information on the local villages and their people,  and the restoration project.  If you are interested in local history and want to help preserve our heritage, consider joining the Trust and getting involved at this exciting time.
